Setúbal is a stunning coastal city, strategically located just 40 minutes away from Lisbon. This proximity to the capital converts Setúbal into an ideal choice for tourists wishing to explore the culture, history and natural beauty, with Troia close by only with the crossing of the Sado river, where dolphins are habitual residents.

The gastronomy of the region is well known for the typical local dishes, such as the famous ""fried cuttlefish"", the succulent fresh fish and the award-winning wines of the region.

Setúbal is a true paradise for nature lovers. The Sado Estuary Nature Reserve is a protected area that houses a diversity of migratory birds and unique marine species. The Arrábida´s mountain, with its mountainous landscapes and paradisiacal beaches, is also a must-see attraction for ecotourism lovers.

The city also has a charming historical centre, where you can explore museums, local markets and discover the rich history of the region.
